A beautiful boy .........an even more amazing man. Loved by anyone who knew him, Cory brought so much joy and happiness to all of our lives. Funny beyond words, so witty and smart, thoughtful with a gentleness and an understanding beyond his years. He had so many plans.......so many dreams, all of which he would have seen come true. Cory met everyone with a warm smile, a genuine handshake, a heartfelt look that said " you're important", and we all were. Cory was a loving son/stepson, big brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and loyal friend. He loved his family and friends. He worked hard and gave his best effort at work and school ( 10 minutes late of course). He hated to lose but always shook it off. He always took the time to play with our smelly old dog Beavis when everyone else walked by.He loved his dog Bruiser.
Cory was a student at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan majoring in Hotel ,Resort and Restaurant Management.He had a dream of having a restaurant of his own or managing a major hotel/resort. He was so proud of his time at Northwood.
He enjoyed sports.......no he LOVED sports ~U of M( GO BLUE!!!), music, movies, Madden with his buddies, bbq'ing, family get-togethers, playing catch in the yard with his brother and sister, chasing the dog, working with a certain beautiful girl,teasing his sisters, watching mom squirm during a story, hanging with dad, Tuesday night poker, parties at the lighthouse, beer pong, sunrises and sunsets at the beach , nice things especially clothes, smelling good, sleeping when the sun was warm, his stocking on Christmas morning, a healthy debate, "Family Guy", the month of July.........He just loved!!!
So much of Cory could be summed up in something he said to his sister shortly before he died......." you drive ...IIIIIII'M the entertainment".
